Cornerstone Christian Centre
Swan Street, Evenwood

I’m Pastor John Campbell and this is my wife Pauline. We retired in 2021 after 43 years pasturing five Elim Pentecostal Churches and have moved to Cockfield.

We have 4 children, Peter, Tricia, Luke and Ben, and 4 grandchildren.

Apart from pastoring, I was also involved with Hope UK for some years. They came from the Band of Hope, and started teaching drug and alcohol issues to Children and Young people from 1994.

I was also a Chaplain at the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven, West Cumbria for 10 years.

We love living in Cockfield now, with our Fox Red Labrador, Finne. He makes sure that we don’t get lazy.

Finding Cornerstone was a gift of God to us and we have found friendship and anointing here that has really helped us to settle and relax after what was a difficult last two years in ministry during Covid.

We now look forward to seeing what God is doing in the Church, and what He is calling us to do. Pauline, who led worship in her father’s Church from 14, and has done so throughout our ministry, now has opportunity to help at Cornerstone. I’m looking forward to doing anything that Pastor finds for me to do. There will be plenty to do as the Lord Jesus Christ builds His Church here in the Gaunless Valley.
